New Moon Ritual

Take your ritual bath by candlelight, using your favorite oil, or gensing oil in the water. Annoint your body also with the oil when you get out of the bath, on your wrists, neck, and bottoms of your feet.

Cast your circle as you usually do.

Invoke the watchtowers:

East: Hail to thee Guardians of the watchtower of the East, the powers of Water. I invoke you and call you, flow of life, crystal clear, ever renewing coolness share. Be here! So Mote It Be.

South: Hail to thee Guardians of the watchtower of the South, the powers of Air. I invoke you and call you, breath of life, sea breeze, softly moving through the trees. Be here! So Mote It BE.

West: Hail to thee Guardians of the watchtower of the West, the powers of Fire. I invoke you and call you, flame of life, burning bright, giving guidance in the night. Be here! So Mote It Be.

North: Hail to thee Guardians of the watchtower of the North, the powers of Earth. I invoke you and call you, rock of life, salt and granite, everliving blessed planet. Be here! So Mote It Be.

In the center of the circle, raise arms and say:

"The circle is cast. I am between the worlds. Where night and day, birth and death, joy and sorrow... meet as one."

Light the altar candles and say:

"The fire is lit. The rutual is begun.
I invite you Anu, Hecate, Anna.
I invite you Atlas, Khonsu, Sin.
To be here with me now.
As is the circle, so is life.
Birth follows death and they are one and the same.
Beginnings flow from endings and are one and the same.
You teach me this. In all things, you show me this.
Now is the time of endings and beginnings.
Now is the time I will end _______________.
Now is the time I will begin______________.
An it harm none, do what thou wilt.
Whatever I will returns to me and whatever I do comes back, times three.
So Mote It Be."

(fill in the blanks with something you have thought about prior to this ritual.)

Now do scrying or Tarot reading, or whatever magick is desired.

Then do a Cakes and Ale ceremony.

TO END:

Raise arms and say:

"Thanks to all of you, Anu, Anna, Hecate, and Atlas, Khonsu, and Sin, for your protection and your attention. My thanks to you for sharing this time with me. Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again. In perfect love, and perfect trust, So Mote It Be."

Close circle.

"The circle is cleared, in peace all may leave."
